In our eighth dinner, we celebrated the winter harvest with generous helpings of winter vegetables like squash, fennel, carrots, and radicchio (it’s sweeter this time of year). We came together at our friends’ Jim and Page’s beautiful dining room table, set with Chilewich, Libeco Home linen, Simon Pearce glassware and dinnerware, and Sabre flatware. The dinner made for a warm evening spent over a hearty meal–our favorite kind.

What began as a book club of friends soon became a book club where no one did their reading, so we turned it into the next best thing, a gourmet club. Once a month we share a delicious dinner and, unlike with a book club, we don’t have to do any homework, other than our share of the cooking. This month we got together for a garden party hosted by my friends Rich and Carolyn for a delightful Summer evening spent in their home and garden.
