Al Fresco BBQ Buffet. Notice the cool and closed grill in the background. Yup. That's how we roll at Dinner Series. Well, sometimes.

Especially when it’s served like this! Makes me want to go, “Hee Haw!” at the sight of food looking this good.

But let’s backtrack a bit. It’s not that we didn’t care. Oh no, that’s not it in the least. That we got takeout for this Dinner Series event especially for the Dinner Series and Didriks team and friends had nothing to do with caring or not caring.

Actually, the fact that Jonathan suggested Red Bones BBQ with all the fixings, I think, was a testament to just how much we care. And, well, just how much we all work!

Two Pomosas or Not Two Pomosas: The Brunch Comedy

When I think brunch, I think friends and family and gluttony. You wake up late, shuffle into the bathroom for a long, luxurious shower, then mosey over to a cafe or a diner, or if you’re in Vegas, to Lynn Hotel, where people you love are there waiting for you while sipping mimosas. There, an efficient waitress serves you pouched eggs, which you can’t seem to master in your own kitchen but the cook has, and a stack of pancakes that is promptly drowned in syrup, a plate of just bacon, and endless refills of said cocktail. All this at the crack of noon.

Al Fresco Brunch Table Setting: Hello Yellow!

When putting together the table setting for the al fresco brunch, Melissa wanted to keep the color scheme as bright, summery, and yellow as possible. The ocean blues and various greens added chromatic counterpoints to the predominant and cheerful yellows in the place setting and the center piece.
